The department has always maintained contacts with practice - especially with metallurgical companies but also with other production, planning and farther institutions operating in the area of metallurgical production respectively of heavy machine-building production.
The cooperation with practice is connected to expert and pedagogic activity of the department. Based on regular negotiations with managements the department "supplies" through assignments of diploma works or part-time jobs "tested" workers to economic or management positions in several partner companies.
The department has professional contacts with the following foreign institutions:
